ABOUT

The Avalon Gardens Neighborhood Engagement Area (NEA) is located in the Green Meadows section of Los Angeles, and defined by the following borders: Caliburn Drive to the North, 88th Place to the South, McKinley Avenue to the East, and Avalon Boulevard to the West.  The Avalon Gardens NEA encompasses the Avalon Gardens Housing Development, one of the oldest housing developments in the City, which comprises 164 quality, affordable housing units, owned and managed through the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA).  The CSP Avalon Gardens Team works collaboratively with HACLA, in addition to local residents and community-based partners in the public and private sectors to support a healthy quality of life for all community members.

Fun Fact: Avalon Gardens was constructed in 1941 during World War II for military families and veterans.
