HACLA Programs Win National Award

Community Safety Partnership Gala, 2012

The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is the winner of eight (8) Awards of Merit from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO). All of the agency’s departments work hard at putting together innovative programs to further the agency’s goals to help our residents, and these awards provide a platform to showcase the great work of our staff. The programs awarded are as follows:

· Harnessing College Students Spirit of Volunteerism (also nominated for award of excellence)

· Jordan Downs: “Yes, in my backyard” (also nominated for award of excellence)

· HUD-VASH Streamlined Procedures (also nominated for award of excellence)

· Dana Strand Senior Housing (also nominated for award of excellence)

· Motivated Mothers of Jordan Downs

· Project Fatherhood

· Community Safety Partnership

· Homeless Assistance Initiative
